The Cubs’ bullpen is more than alert for foul balls. In fact, they welcome foul balls into their vicinity. They have a season-long dare going on where whomever is on the bullpen bench must sit there and not flinch when a foul ball careens that way. You thought the people behind home plate, who are guarded by a net, are goofballs for flinching. Imagine not having a net and still not moving.
